- Opposed and successfully defeated in 2010 Prop. 24, which would have imposed taxes on jobs and repealed the ability to carry forward losses for 20 years

- Extended the San Francisco Biotechnology Payroll Tax Exemption and broadened the definition of biotechnology for the City of San Francisco in 2010
- Supported the Therapeutic Discovery Tax Credit in the 2010 healthcare reform bill, which provided $53 million for BayBio member companies
- Secured 12-year data protection for bioimilars through proactive engagement with BIO and congressional leaders in 2010
- Connected 38 federal and state legislators with biotechnology executives in 2010
- Established a science fellows program in 2009 to serve the State Government and to provide objective scientific advice to all branches of state government
- Registered volunteers and teachers to connect on Bio-Community.org to improve STEM education
