Under Secretary of Commerce Visits BayBio
Under Secretary Francisco Sanchez continues his efforts to expand the US export base. BayBio will once again conduct a meeting between our members and Under Secretary Sanchez.
Mr. Sanchez plans to discuss issues affecting Northern California life sciences companies as they are looking at the global markets for expanded research and development efforts, clinical work, manufacturing and commercialization. Your feedback will help International Trade Administration to understand how the US Government can better assist US life sciences companies in the global market, influence US trade policy with regards to market access and compliance issues.
During his March 2011 visit with us Under Secretary Sanchez promised to address BayBio member companies’ concerns about US regulatory approval process with his FDA counterpart. Mr. Sanchez will share the outcomes of these discussions with the BayBio members.
Finally, Under Secretary Sanchez will discuss a trade mission to China on October 14-18 and outline expectations of how this Trade Mission can benefit BayBio member companies in their efforts to establish stronger ties and presence in China.
