NEST Tech Showcase & Networking Reception, Children's Hospital Oakland Research Institute

BayBio Nest logo

BayBioNEST invites you to join us for the first of the 2009 Technology Showcases at the Children's Hospital Oakland Research Institute. The NEST Tech Showcase allows the life sciences community to get a sneak peak at the science within often before it is published or patented. The Technology Showcase is also a great opportunity for the industry community to network with scientists, entrepreneurs and with each other.

Children’s Hospital Oakland Research Institute, or CHORI, is the internationally renowned biomedical research institute of Children's Hospital & Research Center Oakland. Bridging basic science and clinical research in the treatment and prevention of human disease, CHORI is a leader in translational research, providing cures for diseases, developing new vaccines for infectious diseases, and discovering new treatment protocols for previously fatal or debilitating conditions. Children's Hospital Oakland, a leader in many pediatric specialties, serves children and their families from throughout Northern California and beyond. In 2008, there were more than 220,000 patient visits. All children receive the highest quality care from the dedicated doctors, nurses and staff. BayBioNEST organizes three to four technology showcases throughout the year in order to showcase the research being conducted at notable institutes and universities.
