Karl Sanford

Karl Sanford is Vice President of Technology Development for the Genencor Division of Danisco. Dr. Sanford is responsible for the new frontiers technology initiatives such as conversion of renewable feedstocks to chemicals, convergence of biotechnology with nanotechnology, protein based polymers for new materials applications in high performance systems and new enzyme development opportunities. He has led the technology efforts in metabolic pathway engineering for development of BioPDO with Dupont and more recently the collaboration with Goodyear Rubber and Tire Company to produce BioIsoprene™.
