Each year BayBio recognizes achievement and honors excellence in the life sciences industry in Northern California, as it brings together Northern California’s life sciences industry leaders [Confirmed Attendees], [Confirmed Corporate Tables].
The Pantheon Awards Ceremony is a celebration of the contributions and achievements of the Bay Area, a moment in time to pause and reflect on the industry's legacy over three decades.
This year we salute G. Steven Burrill, an industry pioneer and visionary Venture Capitalist, and Dr. Kary B. Mullis, Nobel Laureate and inventor of a revolutionary PCR technology that revolutionized genetic science and engineering, with the Lifetime Achievement Awards.
The 2008 DiNA Awards (Northern California's life science Oscar) in the following categories will be presented to the industry executives and stakeholders who played a key role in life science advancements in Northern California throughout the year: BioMarin Pharmaceutical, Inc. - 2008 Outstanding Company; Nexavar® by Onyx Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Bayer HealthCare - 2008 Outstanding Product; OncoMed Pharmaceutical - 2008 Outstanding Partnering Deal; Marty Van Duyn City of South San Francisco - 2008 Outstanding Public Support Award; Julie Reis and George Cachianes Abraham Lincoln High School, San Francisco, CA - 2008 Biotechnology Educator Award; Michelle C. Chang, University of California, Berkeley - 2008 Rising Star Award.
