2008 Candidate Forum

Many of California’s legislative races will be decided in the June 8 primary. In an effort to inform and create stronger relationships at the state level, BayBio Candidate Forums provide intimate opportunities to discuss pressing life sciences issues with candidates from various districts.

Due to term limits, there are 24 open seats in the Assembly alone. Each of the candidates is in a contested primary and has expressed interest in learning more about the life sciences industry and meeting the people who are a part of it. This is an excellent opportunity to meet individuals who may be California's next legislators.

BayBio encourages attendance at any one of these receptions to share your thoughts and views with the candidates. Please mark your calendars for the following receptions:

  • May 14: Dominic Caserta, Candidate for Assembly in District 22, Santa Clara County
  • May 20: Jerry Hill, Candidate for Assembly in District 19, San Mateo County
  • May 28: Dr. Phil Polakoff, Candidate for Assembly District 14, Alameda and Contra Costa Counties
The event is free. To reserve your spot, contact Christopher Draper at 650-871-7101x206 or cdraper@baybio.org.
