Money, Products, and Politics: Industry Trends and What they Mean for You
Hefty structural changes are underway in the financial markets supporting the biotech industry, the political environment around healthcare, public opinion, and the marketplace for our products. Private and public investors want clinical data before investing, leaving early research programs begging. Patients need products they can afford, not just more technology. Corporate America is tired of watching its net profit feed the pharma industry. Global governments are seriously considering patent busting to get needed medicines to their citizens. The established biopharma industry is under fire from all sides. The biotech community is being forced to create new models building successful businesses that can thrive in a cost-constrained environment. Facilities managers fall into "have" and "have not" camps that will need to collaborate—can we all just get along?

In short every Californian will have to relearn these new Codes, Standards and Concepts.
