Lucier Gregory T. Lucier
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Gregory T. Lucier has served as Chief Executive Officer of Invitrogen and member of its Board of Directors since May 2003. In April 2004 he was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors. From June 2000 to May 2003, Mr. Lucier was the President and Chief Executive Officer of General Electric (GE) Medical Systems Information Technologies. Mr. Lucier was named a corporate officer of GE in 1999 by that company’s board of directors and served in a variety of leadership roles during his career at GE, including Vice President of Global Services, GE Medical Systems. Mr. Lucier is currently a board member of the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) and serves on BIO policy subcommittees. He is also a board member of the Burnham Research Institute, a director of BIOCOM and is actively involved at San Diego State University as a distinguished lecturer. He received his B.S. in Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Wilcox Ian Wilcox
Vice President and Global Leader of the Pharmaceutical Industry Sector, Hay Group

Ian Wilcox specializes in executive assessment, talent management and organizational effectiveness. Ian helps organizations improve how human capital is deployed and developed. Ian has delivered consulting solutions to a broad range of senior clients in the Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences sector, including Astra Zeneca, ICOS Corporation, King Pharmaceuticals, and Novartis Pharmaceuticals. Ian’s expertise includes executive assessment, the design of talent management processes, and the on-boarding of new executives into organizations. In addition, Ian works closely with executives on the strategic design and deployment of sales and marketing capability in the pharmaceutical industry. With a strong focus on transfer of knowledge to clients, Ian works closely with all levels and functions to ensure successful implementation and maximum performance impact. Ian has worked closely with clients on facilitating executive succession planning and leadership development for general managers. He also has worked with start-up organizations on the creation and design on their commercial sales and marketing infrastructure. Prior to joining Hay Group, Ian worked at Drake Beam Morin, helping executives and organizations in transition. Ian has prior experience working in executive and MBA education. Ian holds a Bachelor of Public Administration from the University of Windsor (Canada), and dual Masters degree in Organizational and Counseling Psychology from Columbia University. Ian serves a board member for Astral Artist Services, a non-profit organization focused on helping musicians begin their performing career.
