Andrew Cleeland
President & CEO, Ardian, Inc.

Andrew Cleeland has more than 20 years of experience in the medical device industry, including both private and public sector roles. He started with the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration, progressed to large medtech companies in Telectronics Pacing Systems and Baxter Healthcare, then to two small private bay area companies, Radiant Medical and Ardian, Inc. Mr. Cleeland holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Biophysics) from the Swinburne Institute of Technology.

Timothy Mills, PhD
Managing Director, Sanderling Ventures

Timothy Mills has over twenty-five years of experience in biomedical research, corporate management and venture investing. Dr. Mills joined Sanderling as an Operating Partner in July 1998, and was promoted to Managing Director in 2000. At Sanderling, Dr. Mills has focused on early stage investments in Medical Devices, Biotherapeutics, and i- Health. He has served Sanderling’s portfolio companies as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, Director, and or management team member. Portfolio companies served include Stereotaxis (NASDAQ: STXS) and Stentor, acquired by Royal Philips Electronics (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHI), CardioNet (NASDAQ: BEAT). Currently, his services include Chairman and or CEO of Torax Medical, Taligen Therapeutics, Pulsar Vascular, Theregen and Director for Naviscan, Novostent, InfraReDx, TriageWireless and others. Prior to joining Sanderling, Dr. Mills served as the Corporate Vice President of New Business Development and Chief Scientific Officer of Target Therapeutics, a medical device company that was acquired by Boston Scientific (NYSE: BSX) in 1997. From July 1994 to July 1997, he was a director for Prograft Medical, a Target affiliate that was acquired by W.L Gore & Associates. Prior to joining Target in 1994, Dr. Mills served as Director of Business Development and Advanced Research & Development in the Interventional Cardiology Division of Baxter Healthcare, now Edwards Life Science (NYSE: EW). Dr. Mills' previous academic appointments included service as the Director of the Artificial Heart Program at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center and membership in the University of California, San Francisco Radiology Department. Dr. Mills received his Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley & San Francisco School of Medicine, his M.S. in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Frank F. Rahmani
Partner, Cooley Godward Kronish LLP

Mr. Rahmani is a partner in the Cooley Godward Kronish Business department and head of the firm's Medical Device Companies practice group. Resident in the Palo Alto office, he has been with the Firm since 1997. Mr. Rahmani has a general business and corporate law practice with an emphasis in the representation of emerging growth companies, intellectual property transactions, securities transactions, including private and public financing, and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Rahmani has counseled companies, entrepreneurs and investors in a broad range of matters including start-up formation and spin-off transactions, assistance with obtaining early stage financing, technology acquisition and licensing matters, to later stage financings, strategic and commercial relationships, variety of public offerings and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Rahmani counsels companies in a wide range of industries including medical devices and life sciences, software, semiconductor and telecommunication equipment. Mr. Rahmani received a J.D., from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1997, where he was on the Deans' List and was a representative to the American Bar Association. He received a business degree from Santa Clara University. Prior to joining Cooley, Mr. Rahmani was an analyst with Intel Corporation working with the corporate finance and worldwide sales organizations. Mr. Rahmani is a member of the State Bar of California.

Shahab Salemy
Director of Business Development, Medtronic CardioVascular

Shahab Salemy is the director of business development for Medtronic CardioVascular. In this role he manages third-party development relationships for the Coronary & Peripheral and Endovascular businesses of Medtronic. Before joining Medtronic, Shahab held strategic and business development roles at McKesson Corp and Nike, Inc. He started his career in investment banking at J.P. Morgan. Shahab holds a B.A. from Columbia University and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School.

Jason Yip
Principal, Montgomery & Co.

Jason Yip serves as a principal in the healthcare group at Montgomery & Co. Mr. Yip has over 10 years of M&A, financing and advisory experience in medical devices and HCIT. He has significant strategic advisory experience, including sale of Proprius Pharmaceuticals, HealthHero Network, and Vivant Medical, as well as selected strategic assignments for Amgen, Edwards Lifesciences, NMT Medical, Orthovita and Urologix. Mr. Yip has a broad range of public and private financing experience, including IPOs for Bioform Medical, Power Medical Interventions and Accuray, follow-on offerings and PIPEs for Spectranetics and Inverness Medical, and private placements for Power Medical Interventions and Pathway Medical. Prior to joining Montgomery, Mr. Yip was an investment banker at Jefferies, focused on the medical technology sector. He began his career as a management consultant to emerging and established healthcare, medical device, and HCIT companies at Fletcher Spaght. Mr. Yip received an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He also received a Master of Engineering
