Gene Acres Presents: China Basin Landing

Providing "Real-life" Knowledge of Major Construction within a Fully Operational Building

On August 16, BayBio members will get the opportunity to get an intimate look at a unique, in-fill construction project in San Francisco.  The 175,000/sf, two-level addition was built specifically for life sciences companies over three floors of occupied tenant space. Hear details on managing the planning, city approvals, design and construction of this one-of-a kind structure.   This is a hard hat tour and guests should wear comfortable shoes.

The tour, led by Michael Freeman of McCarthy Cook & Co. LLC, will begin at 12:00 noon with a brief presentation and boxed lunch, compliments of Hathaway Dinwiddie. Attendees will then be taken on a guided tour of the 800-foot long addition structure. See first hand the work underway on the major building systems, elevators and curtain wall enclosure. Other members of the China Basin management and engineering staff will provide additional input on the tour.
