Director of Public Policy

Christopher Draper comes to BayBio with a background in government relations, political advocacy and policy analysis. He previously worked on the government relations staff for the Silicon Valley Association of Realtors® where he dealt with issues involving land use, transportation, taxation and regulatory policies. He also held responsibilities regarding member mobilization, candidate endorsements, and political strategy. As an advocate for the real estate industry, Chris served as a key point of contact between local elected officials and industry representatives on a variety of issues.

Chris also has a background in campaign work with experiences on a multiple electoral and issues based campaigns where his work focused on message development and campaign strategy.

He is a graduate with honors from UC San Diego where he received a BA in Political Science. While a student, he was active in several political organizations and spent time working in Washington DC as an intern in the office of House Minority Leader Richard Gephardt.
