About BayBio:
BayBio is an independent, non-profit 501(c)(6) trade association serving the life science industry in Northern California. The staff and services of BayBio are paid primarily through memberships, sponsorships, and event registration fees. BayBio provides these services through representatives in South San Francisco and through coalition partners in Washington, DC.
Through advocacy, membership services, programs and more, BayBio brings the world's greatest life science community to your fingertips. With the support of more than 400 member organizations, BayBio is delivering the next-generation association to you today.

Our Mission
BayBio is Northern California's life science association. We support the regional bioscience community through advocacy, enterprise support, and the enhancement of research collaboration. Our members include organizations engaged in, or supportive of, research, development and commercialization of life science technologies
Our Service to the Industry
- Enterprise Development: BayBio works directly on the sustained growth, health and excellence of life science companies.
- Collective Power: To capture the potential and prowess that accompanies our status as the world's largest, oldest and deepest life science cluster, BayBio maintains a suite of group purchasing benefits. BayBio regularly adds new member benefits to our purchasing program.
- Events: BayBio hosts several events throughout the year, including exclusive events for emerging bioscience companies (BayBioNEST), facility managers and environmental health and safety personnel, legislative briefings, and other events surrounding time-sensitive issues.
- Advocacy: In coalitions on federal issues, and with other stakeholders on a variety of state, regional and local issues, BayBio represents the point of view of the life science industry. BayBio continues to evolve its policy platform to reflect the needs of our members
- Programming: BayBio generates state of the industry updates with financial analyses, innovation trends, economic results and social impacts.
