Manager of Graphic and Web Design

Daniel Whittaker was born in San Francisco and has lived in the Bay Area all his life. He received a B.A. in Graphic Design from the California College of Arts and Crafts in 1989 and subsequently worked 10 years at the law firm Jackson, Tufts, Cole & Black, LLP. He was hired as the firms' graphic designer but quickly gravitated to learning the computer system inside and out and subsequently managed not only the graphic design but all spreadsheets, databases and word document templates as well as being the assistant in the firms' I.T. department, helping users with general computer issues, helping network the office and general help desk duties.

In 1999 Daniel left Jackson, Tufts to study web design and development at San Francisco State's Multimedia Studies Program at the College of Extended Learning. He easily transferred his creative, graphic design skills and passion to web design. Over the next 2.5 years he worked at various dot-com companies, ending with the position of Director of User Interface for Electronic Arts' online web presence. (EA is the world's largest game development company located in Redwood City, California.) When the dot-com bubble burst, Daniel decided to work for himself designing and developing web sites for a wide range of clients over the past 7 years. He arrives at BayBio with vast graphic design and web development experience and is a valuable asset to our team.
