Policy & Advocacy

BayBio members drive our Public Policy agenda. The BayBio Government Relations Committees develop and implement the organizational philosophy and strategies for fulfilling the life science community’s objectives. These committees, with input from members, focus on issues that directly impact the well being and continued growth of the regional bioscience industry.

Committee members also serve on a number of local and national boards and commissions that affect policy and regulatory environments. BayBio members understand the high visibility afforded by our industry and the leadership position it has among bioscience regions worldwide. Participation in related advocacy and community service organizations leads to broader understanding of our industry, as well as our common challenges.

Through our Government Relations Committee, BayBio works with legislators, officials and policy makers at all levels of government on the value, impact and issues facing the bioscience industry in California.
